Shannon is so excited to join her first news station as a reporter! Originally from Everett Washington, She recently graduated from Gonzaga University with a major in broadcasting and criminal justice. Entering into college, Shannon was set on becoming a dentist, but her plans soon changed after making a spur of the moment decision to try journalism. From there she got her first internship with Seattle’s KIRO 7, and this got her hooked! She knew the crazy, spontaneous and sometimes stressful days were right where she should be! During her senior year of college, Shannon took on another internship near her school for the NBC affiliate, where she assisted reporters, practiced daily live shots, and learned the necessary cooperation and passion it takes to put together a show. In her spare time she loves jazz and hip hop dance and even pursued this passion in college. When not working, and during a heavy winter, you can find Shannon up on the mountain, skiing for hours with her family! If you have a great story idea feel free to let me know shannonm@kapptv.com
