YAKIMA -- Yakima county roads are proving to be much deadlier than last year.
One of the worst car accidents happened this summer. A head-on collision killed three people on Highway 12 near Naches. Just this past weekend, two people died in separate crashes in the Lower Valley.
In all, 30 people have died from accidents on county roads so far this year. That's eight more than last year, where car wrecks killed 22 people.
The Washington State Patrol says D.U.I., speeding, and not wearing a seatbelt are the top causes for fatal crashes in Yakima county.
