The Academy of Children's Theatre presents The Miracle Worker. The Miracle Worker is the classic American story of Annie Sullivan and her blind and mute student, Helen Keller. It is the story of overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles, and the triumph of the human spirit. Trapped in a secret, silent world, unable to communicate, Helen is violent, spoiled, almost sub-human and treated by her family as such. Only Annie realizes that there is a mind and spirit waiting to be rescued from the dark, tortured silence. Annie's success with Helen finally comes with the utterance of a single, glorious word: "water.” This show is recommended for all audiences.

The Miracle Worker is under the direction of Julie Schroeder (Julie@actstaff.org).
