The first day of testimony begins today in the case against Marco Gallegos, who is charged with two counts of aggravated murder.

The first witnesses in the case included first responders to the scene as well as the woman who initially found the victims.

Those two men, Ryan Pederson and Michael Eby, were found shot to death in a car in the Yakima River Canyon just a few days before Christmas.

Three other men were later arrested along with Gallegos---Troy Whalen, Jose Pineda and Heriberto Villa all pleaded guilty to reduced charges, in exchange for testifying against Gallegos.

Today, jurors listened in on a phone call a witness made to dispatch after the woman reportedly found the bodies in the car.

"This poor baby's gone, somebody has left him, somebody has killed him, it looks like," said the caller, "There's a wound in the head."

Gallegos trial is expected to last about three weeks.
