Four Homes For Four Families
Four families in Granger receive keys to brand new houses this afternoon.
It's part of a program put together by the Catholic Charities Housing Services.
The four families, all listed under low income, contributed about 800 hours of combined work, helping build more than half of the homes from the ground up.
One single mother says she would have never imagined owning her own home, even building her own home.
"We had [a home] with my family, my mom," said Andrea Vargas,"but to have our own place, to have our own stuff, our own spot, it's exciting. My kids are excited, they're anxious to move in."
The four families began construction on the homes back in November and wrapped up earlier this month.
