State Shuts Down 2 Oregon Medical Marijuana Stores
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- The state of Oregon shut down two medical marijuana dispensaries for violations of state regulations. Kush MMD of Eugene was later allowed to reopen after correcting problems, but Portland Compassionate Caregivers remains closed. Inspectors found that both dispensaries had problems with labeling, record keeping, signage and security. Inspectors have visited about a third of the state's 158 licensed dispensaries. Officials say they haven't found many serious violations of the state's strict regulations. The most common problems were deficiencies in labeling and testing as well as problems with keeping track of inventory.
