("in 1978 san francisco police were certain the zodiac had surfaced once again when a sixteenth letter was recieved.. dear editor, this is the zodiac speaking i am back with you...")
("i'll never forget that face") Katherin fitzpatrick- author
Katherin fitzpatrick is the author of the new book and details she and her husband's encounter with a man who they think is the zodiac killer..
("just about the way you see that bridge on the cover of my book is where this happened. We pull in and here is the same man")
On a mid october night in 1978 katherin and her husband john had seen the same man watching couples from his car at three separate viewpoints near san francisco.
("he realizes that we.. have seen him in the third place and space in 25 minutes im sure he wondered how is that even possible?")
The man was approaching a couple at the last viewpoint, once he saw katherin and john's car, the man then turned and ran back to his car to escape the area. John quickly said..
("that's the zodiac lets get him")
The couple took off after a white car the man was driving, they were attempting to write down the license plate number as they chased him down highway 101
("we were going like 105, 110.. you kind of get a do or die attitude")
After the alleged zodiac began to pull away from the couple's car a woman switched into their lane causing them to slow and avert a crash
("he just shot ahead and suddenly we couldn't see, like which exit did he take.. he just disappeared, evaporated into thin air..")
Standup ("katherin says she and her husband alerted a highway patrol officer that sent out an alert for the vehicle. In her book she outlines a theory of what she thinks happened to the man they chased that night. The book also highlights another woman's story of a different face to face encounter with
The zodiac. There will be more on the second woman's story as well as the theory for what happened to the man that night in a later report.")
