Yakima Armed Robbery Last Night
From the Yakima Police Department-
-On 9-26-13 at 2135 hours, a masked man wearing a blue bandana over his face and hooded sweatshirt over his head entered Yakima Said's Market at 315 N 8th St. in Yakima. The suspect was pointing a black semi-automatic handgun at the two female clerks in the market. He had a black glove on his right hand, and used his other hand to hold the gun and also move items in the store.
The gunman pointed the gun at the females demanding the money register be opened. The employees complied and the gunman took an undetermined amount of cash from the register. The gunman also took a glass pipe used for smoking from a display at the register, prior to running north from the store, and south in the rear alley.
Neither employee was injured in the robbery.
The suspect was not located and remains unidentified. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to notify Law Enforcement.
Suspect: Unknown Hispanic male, wearing a grey hoodie sweatshirt under a black jacket, black pants, black shoes and a black glove on his right hand. A blue bandana covered the suspect's face; he has brown eyes and brown skin. No accent. Suspect was about 5' 4" tall, medium build.
