Fair Times Ahead
Crews are hard at work putting together booths, vendors, and rides all in preparation for what organizers say is the biggest event in all of Central and Eastern Washington.
The Central Washington State Fair is set to kick off the end of this week.
On average, it attracts over 300,000 people per year.
This year's fair features more than 250 vendors, three new rides, and a comic book hall of fame exhibit.
Many say they are excited to see new things added to the fair lineup every year.
"I think it's a lot of fun to come to the fair, it gives everyone a chance to have some family time," said Mindie Chervany, "It's fun to see the kids excitement, see what's going on around the valley, take a look at all the exhibits and fun stuff like that."
"What people probably don't understand is this is the largest family event in all of Central Washington; Spokane, to all the borders on the eastern part of the state," said State Fair Park President and GM, Greg Stewart, "It's a big thing, it brings a lot of people to town."
Opening day is Friday, and the gates are scheduled to open at 11 a.m.
