New Helicopter for Critical Health Care
A new EC135 helicopter is added to the fleet of Northwest MedStar, and will be showcased tomorrow in several cities in our area.
The company reports the new EC135 will provide greater access to communities in eastern Washington, northern Idaho, western Montana and northeastern Oregon.
The helicopter flies into Tri-Cities area hospitals on September 12. It can be spotted by its updated paint design.
“The EC135 has the latest safety enhancements, patient safety and critical-care capabilities,” said Roger Casey, MSN, RN, CEN, Northwest MedStar’s new Tri-Cities Base Chief.
The company has a total of five helicopters plus its fixed wing aircraft and ground ambulances.
Northwest MedStar’s new EC135 helicopter will be at the following locations on September 12:
Walla Walla General Hospital Adventist Health, Walla Walla, WA, 8:30 – 9 a.m.
Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla, WA, 9:05 – 9:35 a.m.
Lourdes Medical Center, Pasco, WA, 10:05 – 10:35 a.m.
Kennewick General Hospital, Kennewick, WA, 10:40 – 11:10 a.m.
Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Richland, WA, 11:15 – 11:45 a.m.
Northwest MedStar Base at Richland Airport, 1909 Airport Way, Richland, WA 4 – 6 p.m.
