Crowds Gather For Harvest Festival Parade
Hundreds of people line the streets of Wapato for the city's annual Harvest Festival Parade.
The 67th annual parade is one of the main attractions during the city's weekend-long celebration of the valley harvest season.
This year's parade featured beauty queens from several neighboring towns, local performance groups, and marching bands from some of the valley's high schools.
One spectator says the parade has become a tradition for many families in Wapato and throughout the valley.
"You see a lot of the same people coming out year in and year out, their families are getting bigger along with ours," said Vincente Sanchez, "It's really cool to see, and usually you can find them in the same places, same spots in the streets. It's really nice to see the community come together like that, and others from outside as well."
The parade ended with a gathering at Lions Park for the Harvest Festival Carnival.
