Attorneys for Arlene's Flowers Asking that the State Drop the Case
Attorneys for a Richland flower shop owner are asking that the state attorneys general's case against her and her business be dropped.
A motion was filed on behalf of Arlene's Flowers owner Baronelle Stutzman in Benton County Superior Court last week.
Stutzman's attorneys believe that the Attorney General's Office did not have the legal jurisdiction to file the consumer protection lawsuit after Stutzman refused to provide flowers for a gay wedding.
The Attorney General's Office is preparing a response.
Both sides will be back in court November 22nd.
