Kadlec's New ER Received Well by Patients
It has been more than 4 months since Kadlec Regional Medical Center opened it's doors to the new freestanding emergency room in Kennewick.
According to Kadlec, the new ER on 395 and 19th Ave. in Kennewick is exceeding expectations.
ER Manager Carla May said the facility has been well received by patients.
With 15 private rooms and 3 semi-private care areas, all of which have access from a hallway that wraps around the entire ER, doctors and nurses are able to provide privacy for their patients.
The new ER also has it's own lab, an X-ray room and a CAT scan room.
The ER staff has a length of stay goal of 90 minutes or less for discharged patients, and in September the average length of stay was 87 minutes.
