Kennewick leaders decide to move forward with waterfront revitalization project
City leaders in Kennewick agree to move forward with a plan to revitalize part of the city's historic waterfront.
Port of Kennewick commissioners and Kennewick City Council members are planning to make improvements to the area between the Cable Bridge and Clover Island Drive.
They want to create an area that includes a wine village, tasting rooms, shopping areas, and room for entertainment.
City leaders decided to move forward with the project last night during a public meeting.
The port and the city will now start figuring out who will be responsible for each portion of the large project.
