Transient suspected of multiple burglaries arrested in Hermiston

Hermiston Police arrest a 20-year-old man last night suspected of burglary.

Omar Escobedo, a local transient, was arrested just before 6 p.m. Wednesday for violating a restraining order and having two warrants for his arrest.

Officers recognized Escobedo having some jewelry which turned out to be stolen from a home last month.

It was also learned that Escobedo allegedly robbed two other homes last month on East Newport Avenue and East Ridgeway Avenue.

Escobedo was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief for these matters.
