Purple Pinkies Raise Big Bucks

Students at Eisenhower High School in Yakima raise thousands of dollars for polio vaccines.

The school's Interact Club raised more than $6,700 through their Purple Pinkies Project, enough to provide polio vaccines for more than 11, 000 children.

Students asked people to donate money to have their pinkies painted purple, the same method used by volunteers in other countries to show that children have received a polio vaccine.
