Birds Knock Out Power, Again

Thousands of people in the Selah and Yakima area were without power today after birds get into a substation.

Pacific Power says it happened around 11 a.m., leaving over 6,100 people without power.

The Selah School District released all junior and senior high school students at 12:45, elementary students were released at normal time.

Crews were able to restore power to customers by about 5:30.
