Theater Shooting Suspect Officially Charged
A man accused of fatally shooting his wife as they left a movie theater in Union Gap is now charged with first-degree murder.
The Yakima County Prosecutor's Office says the charge against John Munzanreder could be upgraded to aggravated murder -- which carries the possibility of a death sentence.
A co-worker who is accused of hiding the gun, Juan Ibanez-Cortes, also is charged with murder in the shooting of Cynthia Kelly-Munzanreder, who died Saturday.
Munzanreder told police his wife was shot by a stranger who ran away.
