Pasco police officers are hoping surveillance videos will help them find out what happened to a Pasco man found dead in a motel room.

Officers found 61 year-old Pete Martinez dead in a room at the Tahitian Inn on Tuesday.

Investigators say a fire was intentionally set inside the room, and Martinez died from asphyxiation due to inhaling smoke and carbon dioxide.

Police are reviewing 48 hours worth of video surveillance from the motel.

They hope to get through all the footage in the next couple of days.
