Activated Fire Sprinklers Evacuate Residents of a Yakima Apartment Complex
About 30 people were evacuated last night when indoor fire sprinklers went off and flooded a Yakima apartment complex.
It happened on the 300 block of North Third Street.
Firefighters say there was no fire in the building, but there was heating equipment inside a closet that was too close to the sprinkler head. Police believe that set of the sprinklers.
The Yakima Police Department is investigating the incident.
