NASCAR Star Makes A Pit Stop In Yakima
Children and fans in Yakima get a special visit from one of NASCAR's stars.
Kasey Kahne met with and congratulated kids from the ACT, Get Up, Get Moving program -- a program started 3 months ago to help combat childhood obesity.
Kahne also took one lucky kid on a ride around the Yakima Raceway -- and met with hundreds of other fans from around the area.
Kahne says it was important for him to stop by and encourage the public to be mindful about fitness and health.
"To come to Yakima, close to where I grew up, in a place that I haven't been, and to see some of the things going on, and get to hang out with some of the kids, I really enjoyed that," said Kahne, "Spending time together has really been a lot of fun for me."
Kasey Kahne is currently ranked 12th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings.
