KSD to move forward with medical clinic proposal
The Kennewick School Board decides to move forward with a proposal from Tri-Cities Community Health to put a medical clinic for students next to Amistad Elementary School.
On Wednesday night, school board members decided the district can start working out an agreement with the health center - the proposal is not a done deal.
If approved, the medical clinic would operate out of a portable next to the school.
Although all students would be eligible for the services, the clinic would focus on serving uninsured, underinsured and low income children.
The school board plans to discuss the proposal again on August 14th.
