Thousands of people from across our region are expected to pack the Benton County Fairgrounds Saturday morning for the world's most colorful 5K.

Today, people participating in Run or Dye came to the fairgrounds to get their registration packets.

Organizers with Run or Dye describe the event as a color-blasted fun run.

Participants can walk or run through the 5K, and throughout the course, there are several dye stations, where organizers will blast participants with colored powder.

At the end of the course is the dye zone, which is basically a giant party zone.

There will be a stage at the dye zone with music playing, and organizers will be throwing thousands of packets of dye into the air, to make sure all the participants get covered in color.

"Run or Dye is all about just everybody coming out and having a good time, every type of person comes out, families, friends, if you're running for some type of purpose. It's not like a normal run where you just run for a 5K. This one, we come out and we have color, we have fun, we're throwing it, we have music, dancing, everything. So if you just want to have a good time, that's what we're all about" said Colin Larsen, event director.

The run starts Saturday morning at 9 AM.

You can register for the 5K up until the time it begins.

There is no limit for participants.

Organizers say the dye they use is safe, and it will wash out of your clothes.

But just to be safe, they recommend you wear clothes that you don't mind getting some color on.
