A Grandview teenager who was hospitalized after last week's fatal car crash in Benton County appears to be improving.

17 year-old Jovannie Razo's condition has been upgraded to "serious" from "critical" at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

Razo was driving on Evans Road on Tuesday, January 8th, when he lost control of his car and crashed into a tree.

16 year-olds Kevin Lopez and Carlos Ochoa, who were passengers in the car, died.

All three teenagers went to Grandview High School.

Benton County sheriff's deputies believe Razo was speeding, but they are still investigating the crash.
