Fatal Shooting By Hermiston Police Ruled Justified

A Umatilla County grand jury has found two Hermiston police officers were justified in their use of deadly force following a confrontation with a suspected bank robber New Year's eve.
Sergeant Jeremy Clark and officer Doug Gill fired a total of five shots at the suspect after he allegedly pulled a black b-b gun from his waistband and pointed it at the officers.
The suspect had previously robbed the community bank and was attempting to rob a liquor at the time officers confronted the suspect.
