Over 3,000 DUI Arrests Made In Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign

A holiday enforcement campaign results in almost 3,500 DUI arrests.

It was part of the state's first ever Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over DUI enforcement campaign.

According to the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission; from November 21st through January 1st, 193 people were arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in Yakima County, while 110 were arrested in Benton and Franklin Counties.

Yakima County's number is down from 227 arrests made last year during the same time period; Benton and Franklin Counties had 131 last year.

Statewide, about 3,500 drivers were arrested during the campaign.
