Two more victims identified in Sunday's fatal bus crash
The Oregon State Medical Examiner's (ME) Office is making progress toward positively identifying the remaining victims of Sunday morning's fatal bus crash that killed 9 people and injured 38 others along Interstate 84 east of Pendleton.
The second and third victims have been identifed as 67-year-old Oun Hong Jung and his wife, 63-year-old Joong Wha Kim, from Korea. The couple was staying with relatives in Bothell, Washington.
OSP and the the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office continues to work closely with Korean Consulate representatives and relatives of possible victims during the process of identification and next of kin notifications. The identification process is affected by many factors including the availability of legal identification, fingerprint and medical records, positive descriptors, and, in most of these cases, trauma injuries.
