February is Cancer Awareness Month, and on the last day of the month we have some tips to reduce your chances of developing cancer.

Dr. Sheila Rege of the Northwest Cancer Clinic in Kennewick says there are many lifestyle factors habits that you can change to reduce your chances of getting cancer.

Her top 10 healthy habits:

1.  Quit Smoking

2.  Losing excess weight

3.  30 minutes of activity, 5 days a week

4.  Limiting alcohol

5.  Early cancer screening

6.  Eating more greens

7.  Cut back on red meat

8.  Use sunscreen

9.  Breastfeed 

10. Regular visits to your doctor.
