New Online Education in Pasco

Less than a month after its launch, 25 students have already enrolled in the Pasco School District's new online education program.

Called the Pasco Academy of Learning, or, iPAL, it is currently available to middle and high school students as an alternative to attending classes on campus.  The school district says there is a growing need for on-line education, and some Pasco students have enrolled in other districts in order to have the option.

The program's facilitator says on-line learning can benefit many types of students. Students enrolled in the program are required to meet with the facilitator at least once per week.  They can do their work from home computers, or a new computer lab at the school district building.
