Five Arrested for Monday Drive-by Shooting
Kennewick Police investigators have arrested Eduardo Morfin – Mendoza (AKA “Trigger”) of Pasco, along with four others in connection with the drive-by shooting incident that took place on Monday night.
Morfin-Mendoza has been charged with drive-by shooting, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of stolen property. The 20-year-old is the last suspect to be arrested in the gang-related shooting and remains at Benton County Jail.
The others arrested in this incident are:
20-year-old Nathan T. Quintero of Pasco: Charged with Drive By Shooting & Unlawful Poss. Of a Firearm
18-year-old Victor M. Garcia of Pasco: Unlawful Possession Of a Firearm
16 year of age male from Pasco: Charged with Drive By Shooting, Unlawful Poss. Of a Firearm &
14 year of age male from Pasco: Charged with Rioting
“We have identified the shooter, and recovered numerous weapons. The message is simple and clear, people who engage in criminal gang activity are going to jail and ultimately prison,“ said Chief Hohenberg today.
All five remain in police custody this evening.

Kennewick Police say they are investigating a drive-by shooting involving three suspects.
They say wintnesses report shots fired on the 1300 block of South Beech Street Monday night. Police say two suspects were seen driving away in a white Ford Escort.
Meanwhile, a Pasco Police officer watching the Cable Bridge saw the car headed over the bridge into Pasco, and followed it to the 900 block of S. 9th Street in Pasco.
Police report say three people ran into the house, two people stayed in the car.
Kennewick Police and the Tri-City Regional SWAT team found two suspects hiding in a neighbor's shed. Two men were detained for questioning.
Police say no one was hurt in the shooting, but they do believe the incident is gang related.
