Young Girl Hit By Car, Walks Away With Minor Injuries
Yakima Police say a young girl is lucky to walk away with minor injuries after being hit by a car this morning.
It happened around 7:45 on the corner of 11th Avenue and Tieton Drive.
Police say the 12-year-old girl was riding her bike to school along the sidewalk -- when she tried to ride past a corner, she was hit by a car that was pulling out.
Police say the girl was not wearing a helmet, the driver will not be facing any charges.
