Stuart murder trial delayed two months
A Franklin County judge decides he will not dismiss a murder charge against a Pasco woman accused of killing her adoptive mother in 2011.
Tashia Stuart's attorneys asked for the charge to be dropped today.
They say prosecuting attorneys have given them new evidence too close to her trial date, and they aren't ready to move forward.
They say that is a violation of her right to a speedy trial.
Stuart's trial was scheduled to start this coming Monday, but it has been delayed to April 15th so defense attorneys can review all the evidence.
