Finley School District to open community computer lab
Students in Finley who don't have access to the internet at home will now be able to go to school some nights to get on the web.
The Finley School District is opening a free, community computer lab tonight.
The lab, located right next to Finley Middle School, has seven computers.
Each computer has access to the internet and other programs like Microsoft Word and Excel.
The lab is open to all Finley students and community members.
"You can look stuff up, I mean the internet is a useful tool for any kind of research you want to do. A lot of the kids out here don't have computers at home, so we wanted to step up and fill that gap for them" said Andrew Hathaway, Finley School District Technology Coordinator.
The lab will be open Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6 - 8 PM.
Educators say they may expand the lab if there is enough interest.
