KPD K9 Finds Two Knives Believed to Have Been Used in Christmas Eve Homicide

A K9 from the Kennewick Police Department recovers two knives believed to be the murder weapons in a Christmas Eve homicide.

One man is dead and three people are in custody after a fight late Tuesday night.

Kennewick police are now searching for a fifth man believed to have been involved in the fight which led to the fatal stabbing

Police believe this homicide is gang related.

Authorities say 23-year-old Gerardo Villamar Jr. was stabbed multiple times during a gathering on E. 2nd Ave. and Beech St. Tuesday night and died at Trios Health.

Two others, erick nieto and jose vazquez-villanueva, were also stabbed multiple times, but were treated for their wounds at trios.

Those two and another Kennewick man, Rafael Nieto, were eventually booked into the Benton County Jail for rioting.

Police describe the suspect they are looking for to be a Hispanic man, light skin tone, 5'10" to 5'11" tall, thin athletic build, short black hair that is cut short on the sides and longer on top.

He was last seen wearing a plaid sweatshirt, white shoes, and possibly a ball cap.

The three suspects are in custody on a 72 hour hold.

The Benton County prosecuter has until Monday night to officially charge them.
