Boxing Goods for those in Need
Hundreds of people in Yakima are receiving a Christmas donation from the Salvation Army this week.
The organization expects to help over 900 people in the area by handing out boxes of food to take home for the holidays.
The organization was joined by dozens of volunteers, including students from Davis High School.
One man says any kind of help is appreciated, especially for those going through difficult times.
"My wife's on disability, we just recently moved back to Yakima," said Thomas Johnson, "I'm working for the temp services, it's hit and miss this time of year, there's not a lot of work in Yakima even for the temp services. It's a real blessing, we appreciate it."
The Salvation Army will hand out more boxes tomorrow from 10 am to 1 pm at it's donation center in Yakima.
