Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies Have Person of Interest in Shooting Homicide
A 20-year-old Mabton man is shot dead and another individual is wounded after a fight took place at a party just outside of Grandview early yesterday morning.
Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies have a person of interest in the case and said they are very close to finding out who killed Carmen Johnson.
Acording to authorities, there may have been several hundred people at a party on the 100 block of Sand Hill Rd. when that fight broke out.
During the fight, multiple shots were fired.
The other gunshot victim was transported to Sunnyside Community Hospital for treatment for a non life threatenting gunshot wound.
We took a look on Johnson's Facebook page and found comments from his friends following the shooting.
One friend said: "He had everyone's back the same way we all had his. I still can't believe what's going on, I don't wanna believe it:/."
Another said: "I know bro, I have a video about 20 mins before it happened :.( he was having a good time. Laughing and hanging with friends, it wasn't his time :.(."
Another friend said: "It was meant for me...He saved me."
Deputies said they have no reason to believe this shooting is gang related.
