Former Paralegal Asks for Retrial in Rape Case
A Yakima man convicted of over a dozen sex crimes asks a superior court judge for a retrial.
Prosecutors say Travis Padgett filed the motion for a new attorney, also suggesting there was evidence not submitted during his trial, and certain witnesses were not called.
The court did not rule, but will now look into Padgett's request.
Padgett was found guilty in October of 13 crimes, including third degree rape, incest and giving meth to minors.
