Hermiston PD: Zero Tolerance for Mischief

The Hermiston Police Department says they were dispatched to the 800 block of West Hermiston Ave on Saturday night on a report of several young men threatening people in the area. 

Additional witnesses said the men were leaving the area in a silver sedan.

Officers stopped the 1997 silver Subaru Legacy with Oregon plates on NW 11th Street, and found five men inside the vehicle.

Police say they observed numerous open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle, and a .22 caliber handgun.

The following individuals have been charged:

Edgar Gomez Garcia 19 years old of Umatilla, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, Menacing, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.  Garcia was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail.

Andres Campos 23 years old of Irrigon, was charged with Providing Alcohol to Minors, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Operator’s License, and Driving Uninsured.  The vehicle was impounded by Bert’s Auto.

A 15 year old teen from Umatilla, was charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol by Consumption.  The boy was released to Leticia Chairez.  Chairez was cited for Failure to Supervise a Minor.

A 15 year old teen from Umatilla, was charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol by Consumption.  The boy was released to Ruben Andrade.  Andrade was cited for Failure to Supervise a Minor.

A 16 year old male from Umatilla, was charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol by Consumption.  The teen was released to Vicente Armenta.  Armenta was cited for Failure to Supervise a Minor.
