Police Hunt Hit-and-Run Driver in Richland

(AP) - Police continue their search for a hit-and-run driver who left an injured skateboarder in Richland.

Police report the woman was apparently using a cell phone while make a turn Tuesday morning when she either collided with the skateboarder or caused him to fall.

She stopped and offered him a ride and money, but said she couldn't stay because she had to pick up her children.

She didn't call for help or police and she didn't identify herself.

The victim appeared to have only scrapes and bruises but more significant injuries were found in an emergency room.

The woman driver is described as being in her 20s or early 30s, and she was seen driving off in a Mercedes Benz sedan.
