Festival in the Parking Lot
Hundreds of people in Yakima stop by Yakima Neighborhood Health to learn about local health care centers.
It's part of the organizaion's celebration of National Health Center Week.
The "Festival in the Parking Lot" is aimed at raising awareness about america's health centers, and also providing free screening and information for those who are seeking help.
Children also got the chance to learn about healthy activities and food choices they can make.
"It's important that our community comes together, and families are aware about what's available," said outreach coordinator Annette Rodriguez, "Especially with tight budgets in the family. These are good ways to supplement the family budget in terms of providing food for their family and health choices. "
Yakima neighborhood health services says health centers serve more than 22 million people nationwide.
