Early Fire Rips Through Restaurant
A burger restaurant in Union Gap is closed indefinitely after an early morning fire rips through it.
Union Gap firefighters say the fire started around 4 a.m. at Major's near the corner of Third and Washington Avenues.
Crews say most of the fire was inside of the building and appeared to have started in the kitchen area.
Owners believe the restaurant may be a total loss, but are glad no one was harmed.
"It's a building, and so sure it's devestating, but we're thankful for what we have," said co-owner Steven Calhoun, "We're just going to go from here."
Firefighters do not believe the incident is suspicious -- no damage estimate is available at the moment.
