Narrative:  On 4-12-2013 at 11:08 p.m. Yakima Police Officers responded to a 911 call for help at a residence in the 1000 block of N. Naches Ave. for a domestic assault in progress.  Information was provided that a male was actively stabbing a female.  Officers arrived on scene as four young children were being led into the street by a 16 year old male.  All the children were unharmed by the suspect.

Officers found a 32 year old woman inside the home who had been stabbed multiple times in her torso, and also located a 26 year old male who was bleeding from stab wounds to his neck and chest.  Both were transported to the trauma assigned hospital and are currently being treated.

It was determined the adult male suspect entered the home in violation of a no contact order and assaulted his ex-girlfriend; the adult female and mother of mentioned children.  The male suspect attempted to stab others inside the house before turning the knife on himself.  The suspect stabbed himself in the neck and chest.

The victim of the crime and suspect are expected to survive.

Follow-up investigation continues.
