Tough Enough To Wear Pink Hits The Fair
Hundreds of people dressed in pink filled the Central Washington State Fairgrounds today.
Today is the 'Tough Enough to Wear Pink?' day, where fairgoers are encouraged to wear pink attire to raise awareness about breast cancer and kick off October Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Fairgoers were also treated to a pink themed rodeo, where cowboys wore pink while riding bucking broncos to show their support.
One fairgoer says raising awareness about breast cancer is important even for those who are not directly affected.
"I mean my mom's had breast cancer before. And it's just something to say, 'we're going to be there, and we're going to help you guys out," said Jeremy Bade.
A small percentage of the proceeds today will go towards the Wellness House in Yakima.
