Drug Take Back Day
The Drug Enforcement Administration holds it's fifth Prescription Drug Take Back Day in Yakima.
The DEA set up a collection site outside of the Yakima Police Department for people to drop off unused or expired medication.
This event gives the public the opportunity to prevent puill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous prescription drugs.
Nearly 1.6 million pounds of prescription drugs have been turn in over the past four years.
The event ran from 10 am to 2 today.
The Kennewick, Richland, and West Richland Police Departments also had collection sites set up.
