A candidate for Washington state Attorney General makes a stop in Yakima.

Republican Reagan Dunn met with Yakima City officials to discuss his plan to combat the gang problem in Yakima County.

Dunn says the biggest problem the county faces is a lack of funding --  he plans to create a grant program for law enforcement agencies if elected as Attorney General.

"Right now, the sheriff's office has one of the lowest levels of police presence anywhere in the state of Washington. And with the crime as active as it is in certain parts of the county, this grant program will help them do their job," said Dunn.

Dunn is running against Democrat Bob Ferguson for Washington state Attorney General.
