Man Charged In Alleged Toppenish Shooting

Yakima County prosecutors charge an 18-year-old gang member involved in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy last week.
David Chavez of Toppenish is charged with second degree murder and first degree assault after allegedly shooting Jose Rodriguez in the head in Toppenish last Thursday night.
Rodriguez was taken to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center, where he died.
Police say Chavez was released from the Toppenish City Jail just an hour before the shooting.
Chavez will be in court on October 9th.
