Employees Return To Casino

Employees return to a Kennewick casino today to collect their belongings after it unexpectedly closed yesterday.

According to employees working at the Classic Island Casino yesterday the owner came in just after noon announced last call, collected the chips and kicked everyone out.

The casino issued a release today saying they are closing due to financial hardship and an inability to pay rent and taxes.

The casino's parent company in Longview, Washington says about 100 people were employed at the casino.
