Fire Crews Contain 400 Acre Fire

Firefighters contain a 400 acre brush fire that sparked last night on the Ahtanum Ridge.

About 20 firefighters from the Yakama Nation responded to the fire, which started around 8 just south of some relay towers.

Crews worked to construct fire lines in order to prevent the fire from spreading to the north side of the ridge.

The fire was fully contained around 2 this morning.

No structures were lost in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
