Vandals attack trees at Walla Walla park again
Vandals have once again struck Fort Walla Walla Park.
This time, 23 small trees and 4 large trees were cut down in the nature area of the park along Myra Road and Poplar Street in Walla Walla.
The city's park and recreation department estimates the larger trees are several years old and estimates the loss to all the trees to be about $3,000.
Last month, vandals cut into three maple trees near the Rotary shelter in the park.
Those trees were removed to keep visitors out of danger.
