UPDATE: Third Body Found Last Week in River
UPDATE: Grant County Sheriff spokesman Kyle Foreman clarifies that the third body found near Mattawa in the Columbia River was discovered last Thursday, not today.
Earlier we reported that another body has been discovered in the Columbia River near Mattawa, making it the third one in two weeks.
The Grant County's sheriff's office says the body of a man was found last Thursday about 10 miles south of Mattawa. The body was found under Vernita Bridge. Grant County spokesman Kyle Foreman says the witnesses told deputies the man had been seen earlier kayaking. Foreman says wearing a life vest.
Detectives found no immediate evidence of foul play.
